Often described as an ‘image of paradise’, the Alpine resort town of Bled will enchant you with its emerald-green lake, fairytale-like island and imposing castle reigning on top of a rocky cliff. The charming lake resort of Bled, famous for a church on an island in the middle of a lake, a medieval castle perched on a cliff high above the lake, and splendid views of surrounding Alpine peaks.

From Kranjska Gora we drive to Bled for approximately 40 minutes to the Alpine pearl, Bled, the magnificent alpine resort. Ascend the old castle perched on top of a steep cliff above the glacial Lake Bled. Castle terraces offer spectacular views of the lake and its tiny island in the middle. With a breath taking view you will be served the »kremšnita«, vanilla-custard-and-cream cake, one of the best known Slovenian desserts.
